1. Log in to the Administrator back-end.
   
   
2. We now need to get to the article we wish to edit. Simply mouse over "Content" and click on "Article Manager". On older versions of joomla mouse over "Content" and click on "All Content Items"
   
   
   
   
3. You will now see alist of all the articles on your website.
   
   
   
   
4. Click on any article title to edit that article. The text editor used in Joomla is much like a common word processing application. Place your cursor where you want the image to appear by clicking in that position within the editor.
   
   
   
   
5. To add an image click on the tree icon. The following pop up screen will appear:
   
   
   
   The image details are displayed in the top half of the pop-up window and the image select area is shown below. You can select an image that is already on your server (in the media manager) by simply clicking on it. The image details with a thumbnail will be shown to the right. Click insert to add the selected image to the article.

To upload a new image to the server click on the 'upload' button.
